Frequently Asked Questions

Question – How many delegates can you cater for?

Answer - We are able to cater for group sizes up to 12 delegates at a time. This ensures a good learning environment for all involved. If you have a company that employs more than 12 members of staff do not be deterred, we will work with you to ensure that all staff are trained in a way that will not cause too much disruption to your business.

Question – Is there a minimum number of delegates required to run a course?

Answer – No. We at ETC want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn these life saving skills. As such we will not insist that a small company shells out for extra spaces they do not need just so their staff can be trained at a date and time that suits them and their company. Whether we have 1 delegate or 100 they will all receive the same professional service.

Question – How much does a course cost?

Answer – All of our courses have a ‘from’ price listed with them in our ‘courses we offer page’ This is because some courses we host may require us to add any additional cost of venue hire or excess travel beyond 50 miles from our base. Any additional costs will be highlighted separately and made clear within your tailored quote that we send which allows you to decide at an early stage if you want to work with the ETC. Once a quote is finalised there will no additional or hidden costs to your booking unless a significant change to that booking is required and mutually agreed. We will always discuss with you in the first instance if you need to amend a booking and you of course you will be allowed to cancel your booking.

Question – Will you organise a suitable venue if we are unable to accommodate the training?

Answer – Yes, if you do not have the room to accommodate the training please let us know at the time of booking and we will source a suitable venue. Please note extra charges may apply.

Question – Will we receive a nationally recognised qualification?

Answer – Yes. All of our courses are compliant with the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and will be delivered in accordance with accepted first aid practices.

Question - I am disabled can I attend a First Aid course?

Answer - People with additional needs with be discussed at the time of booking. we can make reasonable adjustments for most of our courses. However, in order to obtain an EFAW and FAW certificate the course requires that all candidates to be able to perform at least 2 minutes of CPR on the floor. The person booking the course is responsible for ensuring that all candidates are able to meet this requirement.
