Course attended: Community Basic Life Support

"The course was very informative and our trainer was inspiring and reassuring to those who had had no previous experience of basic life support. He was engaging and it was a good mix of the theoretical and the practical.

He was able to field questions both from first aid beginners and those who were refreshing their knowledge or had been medically trained. He was able to update people with the latest advice ( which sometimes differed from the training people had previously, especially when their previous experience or training was many years old).

Importantly, he covered the necessity of involving others to call for help, get CPR equipment or keep someone comfortable and warm, in addition to the ‘hands -on’ advice of what to do in an emergency. It gave us confidence to realise that helping someone wasn’t all on an individual (unless circumstances required it). 

I would not hesitate to recommend the Essex Training Company for this course.

"I found the whole course useful. This course gave me the most up to date information so that I now have the confidence to help in a situation which could potentially save a life. It was fantastic, well structured and well taught. 

Marc was amazing at making the course enjoyable but also driving home the key points. He was very clear in his instructions and a gentle teacher. He made me feel confident to tackle what could be a very stressful situation in future with calm and clarity. His experiences working in a hospital made it more interesting as he had real life examples of where he had used these procedures himself to help others".

"I found all elements of the course were delivered and explained very well.

CPR and the use of the Defibrillator was especially useful and I went away with the knowledge and understanding of what to do in an emergency if ever one should arise.

A number of people attended the course and everyone took an active part at some stage and we all agreed it was totally worthwhile and should be attended by as many people wherever possible in future….may just save a life! 

Marc delivered this course in a professional manner everything was explained very well with scenarios or personal experiences that related to this course.
