It is an important duty of The Essex Training Company, in the conduct of all its business operations, to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all its employees, sub-contractors, trainees and site visitors. The Essex Training Company accepts the fact that this implies a corresponding duty of ensuring that necessary organisation, equipment and training is provided to fulfil this obligation. An effective health and safety policy requires the full collaboration and co-operation of all employees. Everybody is asked to read this policy and accept their own personal responsibility for health and safety at work.

Training Venues:
It is the responsibility of the trainer to familiarise him/herself with a venue's emergency procedures including that of fire evacuation and first aid provision.
All major incidents are to be reported immediately, when safe and practicable to do so, by phone to either Marc Littlejohn or David Linghorn-Baker. All incidents must also be reported in writing (email is ok) to either of the safety coordinator’s within 24 hours.
